The client required a custom web platform to help end customers track the full journey of their orders — from the initial supplier to the final delivery — using both custom tracking numbers and third-party carrier tracking (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.).

The client needed a unified, user-friendly system that would:

  • Track shipments using custom tracking IDs and standard carrier tracking numbers
  • Display real-time updates for each stage of the delivery process
  • Provide visibility not just from the point of shipping within the US, but from the initial supplier
  • Allow seamless integration with internal logistics operations and Microsoft SQL Server for secure data storage
  • Be performant, SEO-friendly, and adaptable to mobile and desktop devices

    We developed a robust and scalable web application using Next.js, leveraging server-side rendering (SSR) for fast load times, improved SEO, and secure dynamic data handling. The app connects directly to a Microsoft SQL Server database that stores and updates tracking information in real time.
