HTD (Home Theater Direct) is a US-based company specializes in the production and selling of high-quality speakers and electronics for home theater and whole-house audio. The client came to us with an outdated mobile app that controls home audio systems. The app was plagued by over 200 bugs and had limited functionality making it difficult to use. Our task was to revive the app by enhancing it with essential features and ensuring stability for seamless operation.

We successfully restored the lost functionality, making the app more user-friendly and reliable. To enhance its versatility, we reworked the architecture to allow for easy switching to Alexa mode, which involved significant efforts in redesigning the interface and improving compatibility with Alexa’s voice-activated features.

The client offers two lines of audio systems, including a mid-level system (MC/MCA) and an advanced system (Lync), as part of their product portfolio. Previously, users had to rely on separate mobile apps for each system; it made support more costly and complicated. By integrating these two branches of control into a single application, we streamlined the user experience and made everything much more convenient.
